SlashVibe: Hardware Controller for Agents
SlashVibe pairs a 3.96-inch desktop display with a wireless remote to manage background AI agent runs, permission prompts, and push-to-talk voice prompts.
Running multiple autonomous coding agents simultaneously in terminal windows creates friction fast. When you dispatch three Claude Code tasks, two Codex background runs, and an Antigravity worker, you end up juggling desktop windows just to catch permission confirmations (y/n) and status updates.
Natural Mapping, Inc. is attempting to solve this ergonomic bottleneck with SlashVibe, a dedicated physical controller and secondary display designed specifically for orchestrating AI agent swarms.
Before diving into the hardware, an important clarification: SlashVibe is currently in pre-order stage ahead of a Kickstarter campaign launching on November 10, 2026, with an estimated delivery target of March 2027. You can reserve launch pricing directly through the SlashVibe VIP Reservation Campaign.
What Is SlashVibe?
Unlike standalone AI hardware devices that try to replace your computer, SlashVibe operates strictly as a specialized peripheral companion. It leaves your main screen free for code and active editing while offloading agent supervision to dedicated desk hardware.
The setup consists of two interlocking physical parts:
- Desktop Display Base: A 3.96-inch LCD housed in a sandblasted, anodized aluminum chassis. It plugs directly into your workstation via USB-C for continuous power and bidirectional telemetry.
- Detachable Wireless Remote: A handheld 2.4 GHz controller that docks into the base. It features Kailh ultra-low-profile mechanical switches, a tactile two-axis navigation joystick, and dual MEMS microphones designed for close-range voice input.
Core Features and Workflow
1. Unified Agent Telemetry
The desktop display hooks into local and remote agents to surface session state, active tasks, tool execution status, and pending approvals. Rather than cycling through terminal tabs or IDE panels, a quick glance at the desk display tells you which workers are executing, which finished, and which are waiting for user input.
2. Tactile Permission Approval
Autonomous tools regularly halt on destructive command confirmations, file overwrites, or external API calls. Using the remote's Kailh mechanical switches, you can approve or reject pending commands instantly from the desk or while leaning back in your chair.
3. Sub-100ms Push-to-Talk Prompting
Instead of typing prompts across various open terminals, the remote includes a push-to-talk mic button that primes audio capture in under 100 milliseconds. You select the target agent using the thumb joystick and speak the prompt directly. Local speech-to-text handles transcription without requiring third-party dictation utilities.
4. Open Integration Architecture
SlashVibe connects to workstations via the companion SlashVibe+ application (macOS and Windows). Integration is powered by an open Model Context Protocol server, available through the vibe-mcp GitHub repository. The stack supports over 20 agent runtimes out of the box, including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and custom CLI pipelines running in environments like our OpenClaw VPS setup.

The projected March 2027 delivery timeline means buyers are funding early batch manufacturing rather than purchasing off-the-shelf inventory.* **Pricing Structure:** The Kickstarter VIP launch tier is priced at $149 with a refundable $1 reservation deposit on the [SlashVibe Reservation Portal](https://slashvibe.ai/reserve). Retail pricing post-campaign is projected to be higher.* **Subscription Model:** SlashVibe includes a free tier for local hardware control and local speech-to-text. Optional cloud transcription and remote state storage tiers are listed at $8 to $14 per month, though Kickstarter backers receive one complimentary month of Pro access.## SummarySlashVibe tackles a genuine user-experience challenge created by the transition from single-prompt chat UIs to concurrent autonomous coding agents. By treating agent control as an external peripheral rather than another desktop app, it provides a tactile bridge for multi-agent workflows. To explore technical specs, join their Discord community, or review pre-order terms, visit the [official SlashVibe site](https://slashvibe.ai/) and the [SlashVibe Campaign Reservation page](https://slashvibe.ai/reserve).
